An online master’s in homeland security covers a variety of areas of specialization including cybersecurity, emergency management, counter terrorism, and security management. Higher level and management positions within these areas often require a master’s degree or a combination of education and experience. Fortunately earning a master’s degree online in homeland security can be an option for working professionals who need an advanced degree but also need to work to provide for their families.

We created a list of the most affordable schools to earn an online master’s in homeland security based on information we obtained through College Navigator. We did a search for schools offering online programs in areas related directly to homeland security and reviewed them for accreditation, available of online coursework, highly educated and experienced staff, and affordability.
